Nissan Micra K11

The K11 Micra platform has earned our respect in a big way. Over the years we’ve built some standout boosted K11s, and the more we work with them, the more we appreciate just how capable they really are when developed properly. Every kit we produce is built in-house on a real K11 to ensure precise fitment and consistent quality — nothing universal, nothing guessed.

All components are TIG-welded for both strength and a clean, purposeful finish. This isn’t just another platform we work on — it’s one we genuinely believe in. I even daily drive one of our boosted K11s, because we wouldn’t build anything we wouldn’t trust and enjoy ourselves. Our goal has always been the same: build K11s that perform, hold up, and make people rethink what these cars can do.

K11 FAQ's

Turbo Kits

At our workshop, we specialise in offering forged engine builds for the K11 Micra. A forged engine build involves replacing the stock internal components with stronger forged  components to handle higher power levels and increased performance demands. By utilising forged pistons, connecting rods, and crankshafts, we enhance the engine’s durability and reliability, making it capable of withstanding higher horsepower and torque outputs.

Our forged engine builds are meticulously crafted to provide a robust and reliable powertrain solution tailored to your specification for enthusiasts seeking enhanced performance from their k11 micra. We also provide a comprehensive service in which we supply the necessary parts and machine work. This means that we handle the entire process from sourcing high-quality forged components to machining the engine parts to ensure a precise fit and optimal performance. With our expertise and attention to detail, we aim to deliver top-notch forged engine builds that meet the specific requirements and expectations of our customers.

Tuning

We offer a convenient drive-in and drive-out service specifically designed to turbocharge and tune K11 Micras. With our expertise and specialised equipment, we can enhance the performance of your vehicle by adding a turbo kit and fine-tuning the engine to optimise power delivery and efficiency.

DET3+

When it comes to tuning boosted K11 Micras, the most popular ECU we use — without question — is the ECUmaster DET3+. We’ve wired and tuned a lot of these units over the years, and for what it is, it really delivers. It’s not a standalone ECU, and there are limitations because of that, but the DET3+ has proven itself time and time again on this platform. We’ve seen cars make up to around 190hp on one, and I even run a DET3+ on my own daily-driven boosted K11 because it just works and keeps things simple. If budget was no concern, I’d absolutely look at a full standalone setup — they offer more control and future-proofing — but for most builds, the DET3+ hits the sweet spot without the huge cost that comes with going fully standalone.

Haltech

My other recommendation for a boosted k11 is the Haltech Elite 1500

The Haltech Elite 1500 is a full standalone ECU designed for serious performance builds, and it gives you far more control than a piggy-back like the DET3+. Instead of working alongside the factory ECU, the Haltech takes full command — fuel, ignition, boost control, safety strategies, everything — which means cleaner tuning, better engine protection, smoother running and much more room to grow as the build evolves. I run this setup on one of my fast-road K11s and it really shows its value: reliability, drivability and future-proofing are all on another level. It’s the kind of ECU you build the car around, not the other way around.

That said, I don’t want anyone to think the DET3+ isn’t worth using — far from it. I run one on my daily boosted K11 and it absolutely does the job. It’s a brilliant budget-friendly solution and it’s proven itself time and time again on this platform. But with the price difference between the two, there are always going to be compromises. If your budget stretches to it, the Haltech is the top choice for performance and reliability. If you’re looking for something more affordable that still works incredibly well, the DET3+ is still a setup I’d recommend with confidence — it really just depends on your goals and what you want out of the build.

Peugeot 108

I’m going to be developing a range of bespoke motorsport components for the Peugeot 108 equipped with the Toyota-derived 1KR engine. The focus is on producing high-quality, performance-driven parts — including turbo solutions, intake and exhaust systems, and supporting fabrication work — to unlock the potential of this lightweight, rev-happy platform. All kits will be TIG-welded in-house to ensure premium build quality and durability suited to both fast-road and grassroots motorsport use. I already have a design well underway, and I’m excited to bring a fresh performance option to the 1KR community.

Custom Exhausts

Each vehicle is unique, and our custom exhaust systems are tailored to suit the specific characteristics of different cars. From compact hatchbacks to powerful sports cars, we customize the exhaust design to complement the vehicle’s engine, size, and performance requirements. Whether you drive a small car or a larger car, our custom exhaust solutions are crafted to optimize performance and enhance the sound profile, ensuring a personalized driving experience tailored to your vehicle’s individual specifications.

All full custom exhaust systems will be equipped with a v-band flange. Allowing for easier installation and removal compared to traditional flange designs. The v-band flange also provides a tight seal, reducing the risk of exhaust leaks and ensuring optimal performance of your custom exhaust system.

Catch Tanks

A baffled catch tank is an essential component in a performance engine’s crankcase ventilation system, designed to separate and collect oil vapour and blow-by gases before they re-enter the intake. Unlike simple catch cans, a baffled tank features internal chambers or mesh that slow and redirect the airflow, allowing oil droplets and contaminants to condense and settle inside the tank rather than coating your intake tract, intercooler, and turbo.

This helps maintain consistent air-fuel ratios, prevents carbon build-up, and keeps the intake system cleaner—especially important in turbocharged engines and high-RPM use where crankcase pressure and oil mist are increased. Regular draining ensures optimal performance and keeps the system functioning efficiently.

On our K11 custom catch tank it contains a coolant tank too but the battery has to be relocated! We will also be developing something nice allowing the battery to remain in its factory position
